Wynwood Spire is a housing project located in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, designed for elderly artists. Inspired by Iranian windcatchers, the towers incorporate natural ventilation alongside vibrant public spaces that serve as artistic gathering areas. These spaces encourage the active participation of the elderly community, ensuring visibility and integration with local neighborhoods.The project fosters walk-ability and spontaneous interaction promoting connectivity between units and emphasizing integration over isolation. The development expands the Bakehouse Art Complex onto a 2.5-acre parcel, offering a unique perspective on urban life at the crossroads of art and community.
